Kevin was kind enough to host Marketing Director Alistair Mayoh and UK Sales advisor Jodie for a visit to the lab so they could find out more about why the lab has bought and used Kemdent products for so many years.
One of Kevin’s favourite Kemdent products is Anutex HS modelling wax. Enjoying its temperature stability as a hard wax but high quality as it doesn’t crack when being taken off a model. He likes the way it snaps, the flow of the wax, its carveability and how it holds its form in a liquid state. Kevin also values the fact that when his work is finished, Anutex HS stays where he puts it with no splits. Kevin heats Anutex HS over a Bunsen for 10-15 seconds rather than heating it by alternative methods. He keeps the flame moderate to high continuously.
Kemdent’s Light Cure trays and soft curved bite rims are again a product regularly used by Kevin for their reliable quality and ease of use.
Kevin uses Kemdent’s PlasterSafe plaster solvent to aid the safe removal of dental plaster from the fitted surface of dentures. Alcohol free, Plastersafe is kind to technician’s hands. To save time on soaking Kevin used ultrasonic to speed things up.
Kevin also appreciates Kemdent as a supplier of denture base Acrylic. Acron Hi High Impact acrylic is easy and quick to mix and pack. He uses original for private work and translucent for NHS. Kevin loves the colour and efficient curing time. He likes that it doesn’t crack and have the porosity of other acrylics he has used.
